Pakistan and China share all-weather friendship The Pakistan Embassy in China holds National Day Celebration Event

The Pakistan Embassy in China hosted a celebration reception for the 66th National Day of Islamic Republic of Pakistan in Beijing on March 21st. Hundreds of guests, including the Chinese Transportation Minister Mr. Yang Chuantang, many foreign ambassadors to China and people from academy, business and culture sectors, attended the event. Our Editor-in-Chief Ms. Wei Yan and the Vice General Editor Mr. Hu Shumeng were also invited to this banquet.    The Pakistan Ambassador to China, H.E. Mr. Masood Khalid gave an opening speech noted that, "We are very pleased to celebrate the National Day of Pakistan, it is a very special day. Over the past 60 years, the relationship between Pakistan and China has gradually improved and both nations have become strong strategic partners to each other. Pakistan and China share a all-weather and profound friendship."    Mr. Masood Khalid also mentioned that, Pakistan is currently experiencing all kinds of challenges to achieve economic growth while stabilizing the social security in particular regions. Despite those difficulties, the Pakistan government has taken many initiatives to realize better and faster economic growth. The significant growth potential demonstrated by Pakistan is very exciting and motivating. I believe that the Pakistan people with their persevering qualities will prevail in times of challenges and obstacles.    At the reception, the Ambassador to China expressed his official appreciation on behalf of the president through the decoration of awards. The Chairman of the CPAFFC Mr. Li Xiaolin; the Ex-Vice-Secretary of the United Nations Mr. Sha Zukang; the Vice Office of the Department of Foreign Affairs Asia Office Mr. Sun Weidong; the Director of the Aviation Industry Corporation of China Mr. Lin Zuoming; and the Head of the Department of Foreign Affairs Pakistan Office Ms. Hou Yanqi were all awarded with Honorary Decorations. This decoration is to signify the excellent contributions these five people have made to promote cooperation in economics and social development and their assistance to strengthen the friendship between Pakistan and China.    During the dinner banquet, there were spectacular cultural performances by the Pakistani Performance Art Group. The energetic and vibrant Pakistani music and beautiful dance moves mesmerized our eyes. The host and all guests enjoyed an entertaining and lovely night with the friendship between Pakistan and China.
