Dear Chinese government officials, distinguished ambassadors, Mrs. Wei Yan, ladies and gentlemen, good evening!
   As Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to China, I was invited to attend the 14th Anniversary Ceremony of Home and Abroad News Press tonight and also receiving the prize of "The News Person of the Year". First of all, I would to thank the host, Home and Abroad News Press. As one of the award-winning foreign diplomats, I feel very lucky because this is a very memorable moment to me. In my over 30-year diplomatic career, I have been committed myself to promoting friendly relations between Indonesia and all countries. Today, I was extremely happy to come here and participate in such wonderful event.
   As China and Indonesia developing the comprehensive strategic relationship, the media plays a very important role in promoting the development of friendly relations between China and Indonesia. Today is a good example! China and Indonesia will celebrate its 65th anniversary for the establishment of the bilateral diplomatic relations. We expect more things to achieve in the coming years for both countries.
   In 1955, when Premier Zhou Enlai attended the Asian-African Conference in Bandung with the Chinese delegation, China made a great influence to the world in that meeting, especially many Indonesian people still remembered that meaningful moment. Premier Zhou Enlai's visit not only actively promoted the relations between China and Indonesia, but also further developed the relations among various countries in Africa and Asia. Therefore, we can say that the Bandung Conference was important historical event for everyone to remember. In tonight's celebration, we also have the special actor of "Premier Zhou Enlai" here with us, this made me think even more about the Bandung Conference. I firmly believe that China and Indonesia will build a more profound and secure friendship in the future.
   Finally, I want to express my most sincere gratitude to Home and Abroad News Press to give me such high recognition "The News Person of the Year" award. After receiving this prize, I will make more efforts to promote the friendly bilateral relations between China and Indonesia and make a better tomorrow for all of us.
