   At this special eighth anniversary date of Home and Abroad News Press, it is our honor and pleasure to have all of you here tonight to celebrate the achievement and joy with us. I, on the behalf of the board of directors and the administrative committee of Home and Abroad News Press, welcome you and appreciate your kindly support.
   In the past eight years, Home and Abroad News Press has experienced joyful moments and some hardships. We continuously made efforts on promoting Hong Kong's stability and development, encouraging two-way communications between mainland and Hong Kong and spreading Chinese classic culture around the world. As a current affairs news media, we have two special focuses in the strategic direction.
   Firstly, Critical review on important political issues:
   Home and Abroad News Press has been an authorized oversea wire agency to participant the National People's Congress and CPPCC, APEC, Global Think Tank Seminar and many other Chinese and international events since 2001. After eight-year well establishment, it currently owns more than 40 overseas liaison offices and hundreds of reporters around the world. Out journalists always focus on delivering accurate and direction-oriented reviews on current issues which were widely accepted by many readers. A number of important political reviews and articles were highly valued by Chinese central government as well as the government of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, such as "To be independent, there will be a war on Taiwan", "The focus of today's Hong Kong is economy and democracy", "The strategic intention of U.S hook up with India" and many other ones. The positive response also came from the international society because of the magazine's consistent support to "One Country, Two Systems" policy in Hong Kong and the national unity. In June 2006, Home and Abroad News Press was selected by North-North Networks associated with United Nations, United Nations Unban Management Steering Committee and United Nations International Eco-Safety Cooperative Organization as the Chinese Mainstream Media.
   Secondly, harmonious diplomatic relations
   In our international news coverage, we are good at incorporating the idea of "harmony" into our working agendas. Therefore, unexpected results produced greater influence to the public opinions on world peace.
   March 11th 2008, southern China suffered horrible snow storms. Our Vancouver branch in Canada immediately sent a disaster relief team to the affected areas in China with the Lion Club of Richmond City. This noble action was appreciated by Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper, and he personally sent off the team with his cares to the suffered people.
   September 2007, at the 50th anniversary of China and Cambodia establishing diplomatic relations, Home and Abroad News Press signed a Cooperative Memorandum with the Royal Charity Foundation of Cambodia to promote and encourage the charity works in the international community. November 2007, Home and Aboard News Press donated 3,000 school uniforms and 210 student computers to Cambodian schools to help the local poverty children with their education. This project not only delivered great needed assistance to the local people but also spread the harmonious concept to foreign countries. As a high recognition of the charity work, Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni personally welcomed our delegation and awarded an honor medal to the leader of the delegation and honor certificates to all delegation members.
   August 4th 2008, only 4 days before the Beijing Olympics Games, Home and Abroad News Press with Saiqi (China) Sports Company Limited sponsored the Mozambique Olympic delegation ceremony in Macao. At the ceremony, the president of National Olympic Committee of Mozambique and the minister of youth and sports ministry received all sponsored sports equipments from the top management of Home and Abroad News Press and Saiqi Company. At the end of the ceremony, Home and Abroad News Press, Saiqi Sports Company and the national Olympic committee of Mozambique signed the strategic partnership agreements. This result greatly improved the friendship between Chinese and Mozambique people.
   Mozambique is located in Southeast Africa and suffered in wars and natural disasters. Great hardship is on people's living and the national economy. This Olympic sponsorship meant so many things to this undeveloped country because the Mozambique people always hold a dream of "Faster, Higher and Stronger" in Olympics. Through the sponsorship to the entire national Olympic delegation, Home and Abroad News Press again created a harmonious note in the song of peace to the international society.
   Since 2001, Home and Abroad News Press created and kept the first-mover advantage of being mainstream media on the international stage. The press visited hundreds of significant political figures in 82 countries, including many familiar names such as Canada Prime Minister Stephen Harper, Finland Prime Minister Matti Vanhanen and Esthonia Prime Minister Anpusi. All of those diplomatic relationships built a solid foundation for Home and Abroad News Press and its brand influence on the international stage.
   Today, the eighth anniversary means a brand new start. We will work even harder to improve our internal and external qualities. We will still keep our unchangeable faith in this exciting industry. The most importantly, we will create further success with everyone here tonight. Because of your care, your supports and your generous assistance, we can grow like this fast and achieve more in the future.
